Hi! I’m Sarah and I’m a freelance artist from Minnesota. I love to be creative and will experiment with a variety of mediums. My artwork may seem random at first, but you will find that everything is influenced by the beauty and harmony found in nature, and emphasizes organic shapes and lines. I've previously worked on large format backdrops for the theatre department at Jamestown University, as well as teach the art of Japanese Tea Ceremony and organize an authentic medieval feast, complete with costumes, banquet and entertainment. Art is more than a hobby or even a passion... It is a way of life for me and it effects everything I do and the way in which I see the world.
In addition to being an artist, I am a licensed teacher and love working with children. I believe that a child's right to learn is sacred, and guiding them to find their own passions brings me great joy.

一期一会 (ichi-go ichi-e)
This phrase is roughly translated to “One time, one meeting” and is a cultural concept often attributed to the famed tea master, Sen no Rikyu. In the Japanese tea ceremony, one must respect the host and other guests, and honor the moment as a once-in-a-lifetime gathering. In life, one should honor and cherish every moment with each other, for the moment will never happen again.
