Timeline

This is how long it ended up. Each child's Hero was placed on a timeline from oldest to most recent. We now have it displayed in the Hallway Gallery. :)

I love this piece because each child can contribute. You have portraits that look like this one from older students...

…And portraits like this one from the younger children. I'm not quite sure why he used these colors. I suspect he may be color blind. Either way, this is my favorite portrait. :)

No one can repeat the same Hero in a class, but you will get two or three classes who each have the same hero. This Marie Curie was done by a 4th grader

2nd Grade - Marie Curie

And this Marie Cure was done by a 2nd grader. It's really cool to see the differences between the ages when you see two or more heroes next to each other.

Left: 2014 Halloween Hero Timeline. This is a collaborative piece, in which each student from grades 1st through 6th wrote a report on a hero of theirs from History. In art class, we have been learning a lot about portraits, so they each drew a portrait of their Halloween Hero with a short description. All Heroes were then placed on a timeline from oldest to most recent.
