Work done by my students at Saint Thomas Academy. STA is an all-boys military school, so much of their art is reflective of a hands-on construction based learning. These works are from CERAMICS and ART HISTORY courses.

Marbled Mazerine Cobalt Clay

Students learned how to wedge mazerine body stain pigment into their clay and marble it to create these tie dye bowls.

Raku Firing Process

Advanced Ceramic Students learned how to fire their own work in an outdoor raku pit. They loved working outdoors, roasting marshmallows, and being trusted with open flames.
